Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Aryqli said that thanks to efforts and many decisions, in 2023 there will be 4.5G in the TRNC, a new terminal will open at Ercan Airport and fiber-optic infrastructure projects for each house will begin. Arykly noted that the work on the Kyrenia-Alsancak road has reached the final stage. Minister Arykla said that they have completed the tender for 4.5/5G, despite all the negativity and "obstacles within the government", and that this service will be activated within 6 months. Gönyeli was selected as a pilot region for each home fiber optic infrastructure project, Arykly said: "We have created significant resources for the government through 4.5/5G tenders. I hope that 1-2 million Turkish liras of this amount will be transferred to the Ministry and we will start work in Gönyeli, which has been chosen as a pilot region for a fiber optic project in every home." Aryklı said that the construction of a new terminal at Ercan Airport has been completed and technical equipment has been installed. Test flights will begin in February after the completion of assembly. The new Ercan airport is scheduled to officially open before the start of the tourist season. Aryklı said that, despite all the problems, work on the construction of the road continues with the support of the Republic of Turkey: "We built the Kyrenia Alsancak road, which we have been waiting for 10 years, on our own. There are several problems. If we can overcome our bureaucracy and speed it up, we will complete the western section of the Lefkosa-Northern Ring Road to Alaiköy in a short time and significantly relieve traffic in Lefkoše.
